*Pasquotank River Local Watershed Characterization
Camden and Gates Counties, NC
|
- Served as Principal and Project Manager
of the GIS-based characterization of existing conditions
for the 455 square mile Local Watershed located in Camden
and Gates Counties, North Carolina.
- Land use coverages were developed
in GIS and were utilized in the AVGWLF (Arc View Generalized
Watershed Loading Function) model to estimate nutrient
loading to each of the sub-catchments.
- Revisions
to the ordinances of local jurisdictions and regional
approaches to agricultural best management were also
considered.

Colonial Heights
Stream Condition Assessment
Colonial Heights, VA |
- Performed assessments of nine streams
throughout the city of Colonial Heights, VA.
- Identified degradation levels, origins
of degradation, stratify stream reaches by level of degradation.
- Provided recommendations for each
reach, cost estimates and cost benefit analysis as
part of City's stormwater management plan.

*Tidal Wetland Creation and Volunteer
Planting
Virginia Beach, VA
|
- Planned and designed tidal wetland
creation project for the seventh largest marine museum
in the United States.
- Mitigation area was designed to coordinate
with a $30 million expansion museum project.
- On-site coordination of community-based
volunteer planting effort.
- Site has met all monitoring success
criteria.

*Multipurpose Wetland and
Stormwater Management Facility
Stonehouse, VA |
- Lead environmental manager in planning,
design and construction for seven stormwater detention
facilities in which several served additional functions
such as wetland mitigation and entrance gateways.
- Long term monitoring was conducted
to evaluate the affect on increased duration of ponding
on a variety of hardwood tree species.
