Regulatory Permitting
Kerr Environmental Services (KES) provides all delineation and permitting services related to activities effecting
wetlands, streams, lakes and other waters regulated by Federal, State and/or local governments. We prepare, submit
and track permit applications, coordinate with the permitting agencies, and expeditiously provide all necessary
information until the wetlands and water quality permits are issued. Often KES is involved in investigating and
resolving historic resources and/or protected species issues that are tied to the federal and state regulatory programs.
All of these activities are performed concurrently while securing local and/or state approvals to river buffer rules such
as the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act. Once approvals are secured, KES advises clients of all pre-construction and
construction related permit conditions, and routinely performs construction compliance inspections and reporting. Our
staff's expertise ensures that the approval and post-approval processes are conducted professionally and in an effective
manner reflective of our client's schedule and budget.
